The Advanced Equine First Aid course covers scenarios where the horse would likely not survive without human intervention. Students will learn how to deal with trapped horses, poison, burns, bites, hypo/hyperthermia, tie ups, fractures, chest wounds, impalements, broken bones and more. The course discusses planning and preparation for a variety of scenarios with a focus on camping, packing and overnight trips. It is useful for horse owners living or riding remotely.
The Standard First Aid course is required to take this class.
